Follow a lone Jedi in this action RPG

In Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, you play as Cal Kestis, a Jedi-in-training who survives after the fall of the Jedi Order. His fight for survival entails epic battle scenes and action, and players will get to explore one of the darkest times in the Star Wars series.

Character and story development is not the only thing that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order focuses on. Along with Cal’s growth, the creators of the game have decided that the lightsabers will also go through the same growth and development. Check out its sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

On the run

After surviving an attack from Order 66, Cal Kestis is forced to a life of running and hiding as the hunt for his head continues. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will introduce players to another Jedi hunter called the Second Sister who is sent by the Imperial Inquisitor. With his hood up and his face down, Cal Kestis tries his best to remain hidden in plain sight until he is able to successfully escape his hunters or defeat them.

Star Wars fans are definitely in for a treat as the game takes place in multiple locations canon to the films and other media from the franchise. The same goes for weapons, skills, and even the character designs. Overall, it follows a Metroidvania-like pattern where you can revisit previous areas and access new paths as you unlock additional abilities. Its general storyline follows that of the film Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, and sits well with other properties like Rogue One and Star Wars Rebels.

While it is still unknown what kind of fate awaits our young protagonist, you do have the power to decide and lead Kestis toward the good side of the Force. You will also get to meet other game characters that will help Cal in his grand escape, like the mysterious Cere, who has been confirmed to be a former Jedi Knight and of course, a trustworthy droid by the name of BD-1.

Ready your lightsabers

With the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order focusing mostly on combat involving the use of lightsabers, throughout the game these deadly weapons will continue to evolve and gain powerful abilities, which are yet to be revealed and up for you to discover. Players will be experiencing the most out of their lightsabers with the game’s mostly melee-styled combat. For Star Wars fans out there, this is like living the dream of wielding a lightsaber.

Aside from sci-fi swashbuckling, the game also heavily deals with Force abilities. Run through walls, manipulate your enemies with mind tricks, or throw them away via telekinesis. The combination of weapon fights and skills allows for a variety of gameplay possibilities, which players will explore as they face the different Inquisitors, Jedi hunters directly under the command of Darth Vader himself.

A game worth playing

  • Storytelling: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has a compelling and well-written storyline that is set in the Star Wars universe.
  • Gameplay: It combines elements of platforming, exploration, and combat to create a unique and engaging gameplay experience.
  • Graphics and Sound Design: It features stunning visuals and a fantastic soundtrack that immerses players in the Star Wars universe.
  • Nostalgia: The game appeals to fans of the Star Wars franchise who grew up with the movies and other media.

Star Wars Day treat

In celebration of Star Wars Day, fans are in for a treat with a special discount for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. This is the perfect time to explore a galaxy far, far away and give that lightsaber some waving as you play Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis, who is rebuilding the fallen Jedi Order. If you have an account on EA Play, grab the opportunity now while it lasts, and may the Fourth be with you.

May the Force be with you

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a single-player game that does not contain elements of an open-world title, but even though the players will not be able to influence the development of the storyline, the game involves more than combat mode in its gameplay. Overall, it gives attention to presenting the game’s plot and delivers it effectively even without all the open-world elements.

    • Compelling storyline
    • High-quality graphics
    • Smooth melee-styled combat
    • Related to the Star Wars series
